ComEd
Energy Efficiency Program.
ComEd pays Standard lighting incentives per watt reduced. Accounts under 400 kW may use the Small Business offering. Leader Lights files as an EESP so the check can be assigned to us — this is not a Michigan-style full project buy-down.

How ComEd pays for lighting
$0.80 per watt reduced
2026 Standard indoor LED fixtures and retrofits on the DLC SSL v5.1 list. Incentive cannot exceed 90% of project cost.
Small Business track
Accounts under 400 kW peak typically see 50–75% of project cost covered through ComEd’s Small Business offering — not a guarantee.
ComEd EESP
Leader Lights is a ComEd Energy Efficiency Service Provider. We file Standard applications and can take the assigned incentive check.
Reservation at $10,000
Projects requesting $10,000 or more need a ComEd reservation letter before installation. Unreserved jobs can be capped at $10,000.
How It Works
Four steps to a ComEd incentive
Facility Audit
We document every fixture, confirm DLC IDs, and calculate watt reduction against ComEd’s default wattage table.
Application & reservation
Standard jobs under $10,000 can start without a reservation. Larger jobs wait for ComEd’s reservation letter.
LED Installation
Licensed electricians install DLC-listed products and pull the local Illinois municipal permit. ICC energy-efficiency installer certification applies when a measure incentive is $300 or more.
Incentive collected
Final application, photos, and invoices go to ComEd. As an EESP in good standing we can receive the assigned payment.
Eligible measures
What the 2026 indoor worksheet covers
