Six Steps to Energy Savings
Initial Contact
Day 1Call us or submit a request online. We'll ask a few basic questions about your facility — square footage, current lighting types, utility provider, and business hours. This takes about 5 minutes.
Free On-Site Energy Audit
Week 1A Leader Lights specialist visits your facility and audits every fixture. We document fixture types, wattage, operating hours, and mounting heights. We also photograph the space for the rebate application.
Custom Proposal & Rebate Filing
Week 1–2You receive a clear proposal showing: current vs. projected energy costs, product specifications, rebate coverage, and your net cost (often $0). Once you approve, we submit the rebate pre-approval to your utility.
Professional Installation
Week 2–3Our licensed electricians arrive at the scheduled time with all materials. We retrofit or replace your fixtures section-by-section, minimizing disruption. Most projects complete in 1–3 days.
Post-Installation Verification
Week 3After installation, we verify light levels meet specifications, ensure all fixtures operate correctly, and document everything for the utility company. We walk you through the completed project.
Rebate Collection & Closeout
Week 4–8We submit all final paperwork to the utility company and wait for the rebate check. The rebate is applied to your project balance. If it covers 100%, you're done — $0 net cost. You start saving from day one.
